My ...Are they in first year Daisies or second year? My girls are in their second year, so next year they will be Brownies, which is why I've focused so heavily on working through a petal with each meeting, to ensure everyone's finished up and ready to go for Brownies in the fall.

You can see my other blog posts for other petals and the activities we did for each of those. We still have our magenta, green, pink, and violet petals to complete, as well as the money leaves that accompany them. While I have a general idea of what I'll do for each meeting, in the end I don't typically know for sure until about a week beforehand.

Our plans for March are to work on magenta and green petals, money leaves, and we are also dealing with Cookie Sales right now, including our cookie booth.

You are more than welcome to send your troop leader a link to my blog, if you think it might help. It can be challenging to be a troop leader to such a large troop (ours has 18 girls, so I know). And cost may be an issue as well, since some activities are more expensive (craft supplies, etc.), or it may be that your leader needs some more help. The parents who help me are amazing and invaluable. But we are also limited by parents being able to attend meetings with us, and/or drive their girls off campus, and pick them up elsewhere, etc. Most of our activities occur where we meet, which is why I try very hard to make the meetings as fun as possible for the girls.

Does your troop leader have a co-leader to help out? You might volunteer if you're able. :)

Does that help any? Feel free to contact me with more specific questions if you'd like. And there are lots of great resources on the web for other Daisy troop activities: http://troopleadermom.blogspot.com/2012/10/some-helpful-links-and-online-resources.htmlTroop Leader Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15014617745282473121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8159069227486507012.post-54095278998519480482013-02-26T15:02:03.145-08:002013-02-26T15:02:03.145-08:00Hi,

It seem that our new troop leader only following the guideline of the GS. I had wanted my daughter to get more involved with community, activities, and so on. We meet every other week and right now we have slow down because the holiday is over. Thus, what are your plans for the month of March 2013? I would love to help our troop leader to make it more FUN! There are 17 girls and this is the largest group at our local elementary school. There are no other Daisies troop except for this one. I did asked our troop leader if she plan on staying put for 2nd year with all of the girls. She said, yes but I don't want it to be another year of limit exposed just with reading book, little craft, and sing song. I have seen my daughter's other friends at other school district does a lot of fun why they are doing so much fun and not us? I would love to hear your feedback, thanks! {disignertwins@yahoo.com}A deaf parentshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15809786871465728452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8159069227486507012.post-89212002598012686472013-01-23T13:44:53.734-08:002013-01-23T13:44:53.734-08:00Borrowing your door hangers for our troop :) Migh...Borrowing your door hangers for our troop :) Might use it for our craft at our next meeting, even though we are talking about "Respecting Authority"Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00482024836687697379noreply@blogger.com
