You have to add a patch with leader. What do you think about adult volunteers (registered of course) who are not official leaders having a vest? I ask because I attended all meetings and events to support the girls and my autistic daughter. Thanks! I am going ...Thanks so much for this helpful blog. I am going to pass it along to the parents in my troop. I was a Girl Scout myself, so badge/patch/pin placement is not a huge mystery to me, but for those who have never been involved in scouts I can see that it is a little overwhelming. I will give a shout out to the person who suggested using invisible thread for the top stitch when using a sewing machine. This one tip may have save my sanity!! Also, my parents took many of the patches/badges off my brownie and junior vests and got duplicate items where they could for Cadettes and up and made an amazing picture/collage of all the stuff I worked so hard on as a kid. However, that is specifically for nostalgia, so vests appear somewhat complete. There is no rule that says you cannot remove a patch and re-sew it onto a new vest. Not wearing full uniform seems more a benifit for the parents than the girls. Life too hectic for uniforms? Then slow down. The color changes for Brownies and you'd need a new set for that vest anyway, as badges and patches don't move up (pins typically do, however). You'll have to switch actual vests next year anyway. If the cost for badges or vests is prohibitive, please talk to your council shop folks and/or leader about financial assistance. You could also look for used vests in your area, and transfer the orange council ID badges to your daughter's Daisy vest. :) Troop Leader Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15014617745282473121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8159069227486507012.post-54266166375739097602018-01-07T08:57:22.112-08:002018-01-07T08:57:22.112-08:00If I sew it on, could I get the brownie council ba...If I sew it on, could I get the brownie council badge for my daisy?
